George Ezra - ‘Did You Hear The Rain’
// The Mahogany Blog Introducing

‘Did You Hear The Rain’ was one of my favourites from George’s set-list last year, so I’m glad he has continued to play it amongst his new material.

Mahogany Blog have also done a fantastic job with the production; resonator guitar sounding crisp and deep and his voice every part the powerful engine you’ll experience if you see him live…. which you really should, ya know…

Ben Howard - ‘Only Love’

While recording an acoustic session in The Netherlands Ben had a surprise flashmob sprung on him. His reaction is pretty charming.

Danielle Luppi, Danger Mouse & Norah Jones (Rome) - ‘Black’

It’s exciting to see a piece off an interesting concept album stripped down and performed live. Rome was one of my highlights of 2011.

Bon Iver - ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ - A Take Away Show

“With all your lies,
You’re still very lovable”

Another important one… Spine-tingling.

I don’t understand how that group of people can walk away.

Welcome to the blog!

Bristol Couch was devised in 2011 as a means to promote and explore a particularly vibrant and innovative music scene in Bristol.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Vincent Moon and Dave Tree we hope to capture some intimate performances from some of our favourite current musicians at characteristic locations around the city.

Look out for our big red couch when you’re about town; follow us on twitter , facebook and youtube to keep updated with our movements.

Bristol Couch is Tom Scott, Jack Pickard and Aled Chivers.

The film above is In The Goodship performing ‘Horse and the Rider’ for our debut in October 2011.
